Cannes Comedy Make a Comeback with adam&eveDDB’s Rick Brim

adam&eveDDB Chief Creative Officer and Cannes Film Jury President Rick Brim spoke briefly with Adweek on trends that emerged from Cannes Lions Live 2021. This year’s entirely virtual festival brought on more surprises than one, as outlined in Adweek’s trend wrap-up. Rick noted that comedy and entertainment as a content driver didn’t fare too well at this year’s festival. “Comedy is such a strange thing to judge because we are all different,” says Rick. He added that most jurors found humor in the submissions, but rarely agreed on the standouts.
